3rd president of the united States
Thomas Jefferson was the 3rd President of the United States. Born on April 13, 1743 in Goochland Country, Virginia he was always one step ahead of everyone else. Jefferson attended the College of William and Mary where he was educated and greatly succeeded as a draftsman of revolutionary papers. Eventually making a huge mark in history after writing the Declaration of Independence which we now still live by. Then young Jefferson was sent to Europe on a diplomatic mission, where he observed the coming and starting of the French Revolution. In 1790 Thomas Jefferson was named secretary of State under George Washington current President's rule. Washington very much trusted Jefferson and put lots of loyalty and responsibility into him. Jefferson helped with the Constitution, foreign affairs, and trade with Britain. Jefferson who believed that America should start lessening their dependence on Britain or start to split away. He wanted The United States to stop dependence on British commerce and be open to centering their trade and commerce with France. That is why Jefferson became very frustrated with Alexander Hamilton. Jefferson ended up retiring from Office until he was elected Vice President later and the as you know became the 3rd President of the United States. As President Thomas Jefferson served two terms from year 1801-1809. He was one of our countries greatest President and played a major role in Westward Expansion helped make the believe of the Manifest Destiny come true by expanding US boundaries West. He also led the United States to becoming a world power and he will always be remembered in US history.
Alexander Hamilton
One of the United States Founding Fathers who played a Great deal of importance in the Purchase of the Louisiana province. Alexander Hamilton was was the United States treasurer developed a financial system that turned on British trade, credit an power. That is why Thomas Jefferson resented it. Jefferson wanted to lessen dependence on Britain but that wasn't possible if the United States financial system depended on Britain. Alexander Hamilton system though was used to Purchase the Louisiana province. This is only because Hamilton's financial system had developed such a good and big financial credit that it allowed the United States to receive big loans of money. In this case the price of the Louisiana Province was 15 million and the United States was only allowed to Purchase the land because Napoleon France's emperor was in great need of money to pay for war with Britain and Hamilton's system allowed the United States to pay.
